1. Looking back over your notes from this week’s sermon and text, what particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you? 

2. How does it change your understanding of the plagues to know that they were not directed primarily at the people of Egypt but at their gods? 

3. Do you find it frightening that the Egyptian magicians were able to do miracles similar to the plagues? How was their magic inferior to God’s miracles? How does God’s display of superiority encourage you to engage in spiritual warfare? 

4. Take time to pray: Ask God to expose any false gods—idols of your heart or culture—that need to be dethroned. Ask Him to show His power over them.
